During my Christian years as a teacher with the saints (those who are truly born-again), God has led me to four specific areas of instruction that are crucial to the life and growth of the New Testament church.

The materials provided on this web site have been created to facilitate training in each of these areas:

  1. A true biblical salvation which includes the aspects of repentance, faith/belief, humility, confession, receiving Christ and a decision to follow Him as Lord and King. It is incumbent upon all witnessing Christians to “tell the whole story” and not present a salvation message based on one or two verses. See especially the chapter, “Salvation & The New Birth” in my workbook “Foundations of the Faith 101” (available on this website) for an explanation of these aspects. The absolutely worst thing anyone can do is to give a person false assurances of salvation when the “New Birth” has not legitimately occurred.
  2. An understanding of “What Happens at the New Birth.” Most new believers are not taught and therefore, do not understand, the amazing things that God does for us at our “New Birth.” Salvation is more than a “Get Out of Hell Free Card.” It includes such items as: transferring us from the rulership of Satan into the Kingdom of God which places us in the family of God, provision for our every need, the gift of the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us, total and complete removal of our sins, the amazing and unfathomable promise and guarantee of our future life with Him throughout all eternity, and many more (see “The End Times” workbook.”)
  3. A strong and pervading concern that God’s Word be rightly divided. For this, I have designed and taught an introduction to biblical interpretation which I call “Making the Most of Your Biblical Studies.” This study course provides numerous guidelines for biblical interpretation and highlights a number of the major biblical literary styles (genres) such as narratives, wisdom literature, Psalms, and prophecy and includes lessons on figures of speech, parables and allegories.
I have a strong belief that “It is only God’s Word rightly divided” that has the life and power of God for our instruction and edification. God is not obligated to “come through for us” when we misinterpret a passage and claim benefits or actions by God that are not legitimately in a passage.
  4. End Times: I personally believe that Jesus’ coming for His church (rapture) and His 2nd Coming are closer, perhaps much closer, than most people dare to believe. I am not into date setting but I do see significant events in the world today that indicate “something huge” is about to occur.
This motivates me (as it should all Christians) to get to know Jesus better, to serve Him with all of their hearts, to get rid of any idols extant within their hearts and live in a “prepared, watching, waiting and serving” state. God is preparing the bride of Christ for her marriage to the Lamb in the heavens and we are the blessed to be “called and chosen,” those who will be joined to Him for eternity. An amazing thought, isn’t it.

Pastor David Braden

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:11-16
